A first in the history of the estate: the 2026 vintage harvest began as early as August. An unprecedented start!
Our teams took turns in the vineyards for a harvest carried out entirely by hand, in decidedly summery weather conditions.
Under generous sunshine, each parcel was carefully harvested according to the ripeness of the grapes.
The harvest is also a truly human and collective adventure. More than ten days of hard work, precision and passion went into bringing each bunch of grapes to the winery while preserving the quality and character of the vintage as carefully as possible.
Now, we must give the wine time to reveal its full personality. Between the terroir of Margaux, the expertise of our teams and the unique characteristics of this 2026 vintage, we look forward to seeing this new chapter take shape at Château d’Issan.
